This month we're excited to announce our new Platform Roles and Analytics in the Axle Dashboard, along with a number of other improvements!

Axle Dashboard: Platform Roles

We’re excited to launch a major update to the Axle dashboard for our platform clients: Platform Roles.

What's a Platform?

Our platform partners are typically software providers that provide many services to their customers, and want to offer Axle as a feature or add-on of their platform.

For example, a dealership management system might be a platform with many dealerships as customers. These dealerships want to use Axle to verify insurance information for their own users, but may not want to setup Axle themselves. As these dealerships are already accustomed to using their dealership management system, it's easier for them to use Axle if Axle is embedded into the platform that they're already using.

What's New?

With Platform Roles, users can now navigate across both their platform client and any associated destination clients—all from a single login.

Whether you’re jumping into a specific policy, reviewing ignition data, or accessing a resource from a Slack or email notification, the experience is now faster, simpler, and more intuitive.

New Roles

We’ve introduced two new roles:

  • Platform Admins
  • Platform Members

Users assigned to these roles can now seamlessly navigate between their platform client and any destination client—all from a single login. There’s no need to switch accounts or re-authenticate—just move between clients in a single, unified dashboard experience.

What stays the same?

While navigation is unified, data remains strictly partitioned. Each client—whether platform or destination—still maintains its own set of resources. There’s no blended or cross-client data view, ensuring clean separation and control.

Additional controls for platform admins

Platform admins can now invite and manage other platform admins and members, plus admins and members for any destination client, directly within the platform client. This makes it easier to set up and scale your organization’s access—without having to manage credentials across multiple tenants.

Axle Dashboard: Analytics

Analytics is designed to give you deeper insights into your Axle usage and session performance. You can:

  • Explore interactive graphs for a clear, visual breakdown of session trends over time
  • Track important statistics like the statuses of your sessions and monitor your conversion rate.
  • Adjust the time frame to view overall statistics that matter to you

Other improvements:

  • Document AI: Reduced latency for declaration page submissions
  • Axle API: Improvements to error response for easier development and better actionability
    • Added more detail to all API error responses for requests that did not meet input requirements
    • Improved error states for the Verify Token endpoint
  • Added support for multiple global webhook configs per client
